All NAPO Washington State Chapter members (except for Business Partners) must first be members in good standing with NAPO National. To become a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, visit napo.net.

We have members across Washington State and are actively growing our membership. We look forward to welcoming you to our Chapter!


We have added our Day of Service Application as the "GO Month Applicant" membership category below. Registered King County 501(c) 3 agencies are welcome to ask to be considered.


NAPO Washington State Chapter dues are evaluated annually to match ½ of the cost of the NAPO National dues of the corresponding membership type. Dues are paid upon joining the Chapter. Membership renews every 12 months from that member’s original join date.


Allied: An individual who is employed by a government agency, post-secondary educational institution, non-profit organization, for-profit entity, or is self-employed and is engaged as an organizing and/or productivity professional who does not offer services to the public. An entity that qualifies as for the Business Partner category may not join as an Allied Member.

Benefits: Acceptance for Board service, access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, use of the chapter member logo, volunteer opportunities.

Business Partner: Company engaged in the manufacture, distribution, and/or sale of equipment and/or supplies or services that complement the organizing and/or productivity industries, with one individual designated as its representative to the association.

Benefits: Acceptance for Board service, access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, advertising page on chapter website, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, use of the chapter member logo, volunteer opportunities, voting privileges for Board or Special elections.

Community Partner: A NAPO Washington State Community Partner is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency registered in Washington State. 

Benefits: Acceptance for Board service, access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, advertising page on chapter website, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, use of the chapter member logo, volunteer opportunities, voting privileges for Board or Special elections.

Emeritus/Retired: An individual who is a retired Professional Member no longer engaged in the organizing and/or productivity profession, is at least 55 years of age, and has been a NAPO member for at least 12 years.

Benefits: Acceptance for Board service, access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, use of the chapter member logo, volunteer opportunities, voting privileges for Board or Special elections.

Multi-Person Business: Organizing and productivity businesses with more than one employee or owner may purchase multiple memberships at a discounted rate.  Membership through this dues structure is available to the business’s owners, partners, or W-2 employees only; independent contractors are not eligible. Under this structure, business owners and/or employees will share the same renewal date. 

Each individual member will join as a Provisional member and not appear in the Directory until s/he has completed the three classes in the Professional Practices Coursework (see Provisional Member section above) OR earned the Certified Professional Organizer® credential to become a Professional Member. A Professional Member participating in the Multi-Person Business structure is entitled to the full range of NAPO membership benefits, including a listing in the Professional Organizer and Productivity Consultant Search Tool, voting privileges, and eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors.  

Membership seats are transferable within the business. For example, if an individual leaves a business during the membership term, that business can designate another owner, partner, or W-2 employee in that seat.

Professional: An individual who has successfully completed NAPO National's Professional Practices course requirements and is engaged in the organizing and/or productivity profession.

Benefits: Acceptance for Board service, access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, inclusion in Find-an-Organizer website directory, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, use of the chapter member logo, volunteer opportunities, voting privileges for Board or Special elections.


Provisional: Individuals who aspire to become Professional Members and who may advance to Professional Member status only after successfully completing the three courses in the NAPO Professional Practices Curriculum.

Benefits: Access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, use of the chapter member logo, volunteer opportunities.

Student: An individual who is enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

Benefits: Access to all Chapter Special Events, access to Chapter Zoom meeting replays, access to Member Forums, access to monthly meetings, membership in Neighborhood Groups, membership on the Facebook page, volunteer opportunities.

Our members join on a rolling renewal basis.
